The problem
Reaching for a toolbar to insert a heading or list breaks writing flow and pulls your hands off the keys.
The solution
Typing / opens an inline, filterable menu right at the cursor.
Experiment
How it works
- A slash typed at the start of a word is the trigger, not a character to insert.
- An inline menu opens at the cursor.
- Further typing filters that menu in place.
- Arrow keys and Enter pick a command without reaching for the pointer.
- The chosen block is inserted at the cursor, and the slash query is consumed.
